Scribbling Again
Oct. 28th, 2009 03:53 pmIt's been awhile since I've written something for fun or myself and not for an assignment or something (almost two months). Thankfully while I've been struggling to write out the short story I'm tasked to complete (taking longer than I thought) something interesting happened recently. I started thinking about the other stories I want to write and aspects of them to the point that I was looking up words for definitions and synonyms.
It might not seem like much but it's fantastic news from my head. I've been WANTING to write this whole time, that has never lacked. For awhile it was the lack of time but after awhile it became an inability to put words together. So I've put myself to trying to write anywhere else while the stories aren't coming out, so i've been tweeting up a storm, posted a lot more here in October than I have in awhile just to keep words coming out even if they weren't the one I wanted. So now, suddenly I'm thinking about this original story I've had in mind for years and coming up with a new name for some of the topics covered in it and I got that feeling again. That one I haven't had in awhile, that writing is FUN. :)
So once I kick the first draft of this short story out of the way, I plan on getting through the birthday drabbles I owe to some lovely people and then scratching the itch of stories that I need to dust off. I desperately want to get back to His Girl Friday, my Chlark story in the Smallville universe and I'd like to finish Beastly Beauty, my Harry Potter story but I've been having trouble getting back into that fandom overall recently. I've also had a Naruto idea stuck in my head for awhile and because of the sizable response I received on fanfiction.net from my one chapter of Protector of Konoha makes me want to revisit that fandom fictionally. I've also had some tinglings with the Spider-man fandoms, maybe writing something in the Spectacular Spider-Man universe and I'd like to continue the Great Power, Great Responsibility & Great Love story that I started a long while ago but I don't want to stretch myself too thin when I'm just starting back up.
So we'll see, but I'm excited to possibly finally being over this writing hurdle that has plagued me for the last few months. And hopefully I'll be able to lavish you all with new chapters fairly soon. That is my fun goal this Fall/Winter, I wonder if I can use all this writing as my Nano-ish type writing schedule because I'd love to write that much in just one month. Closing in on a productive November, I can feel it! :)
